Forging Process Of Stainless Steel Plate

Stainless steel plate is still used in our lives more, and its processing industry is also relatively diverse, mainly cold rolling, forging and hot rolling, etc. Today we will introduce the forging process of stainless steel plate:

1. Die forging

For socket welding and threaded tees, crosses, elbows and other small-size pipe fittings, its shape is more complicated, and die forging can be used. The blanks used in this process should be rolled profiles. If stainless steel plates are used as raw materials, the rolled profiles of steel ingots must be prepared. After being heated, the blank is put into the die for forging, and the pressure makes the metal flow to fill the cavity; if the blank after die forging has flash, it will go through the step of flushing the remaining material to complete all the forging work.

2. Free forging

For special-shaped pipe fittings or stainless steel plates that are not suitable for die forging, they can be manufactured by free forging process. Free forging should forge the general shape of the pipe fittings.

3. Cutting

For some cylindrical stainless steel plates, rods or thick-walled tubes can be directly cut and processed. When processing, the fiber flow direction of the metal material should be roughly parallel to the stainless steel axis. For tees, crosses, and elbows, rods are not allowed. The material is directly cut and processed into shape.
