Recycling of colored stainless steel plates

May 20, 2022

Since the color stainless steel plate appeared in the public eye, it has cut thorns all the way. From the initial rejection, it has gradually been applied to all walks of life, including government policy support for stainless steel. Since the color stainless steel plate is an environmentally friendly material with recyclable value, it is supported by the policy, which makes many color stainless steel plate manufacturers have the confidence to do so, gradually increase the production capacity and expand the application field. So what is the recyclable value of colored stainless steel plates? From the perspective of sustainable development, colored stainless steel plate has the characteristics of long service life and low maintenance cost, and is one of the most economical materials. Its use can not only effectively prolong the service life of buildings and reduce the generation of construction waste, but also effectively avoid the redevelopment of resources and reduce the relative consumption of natural resources and energy within the service life. In addition, colored stainless steel is 100% recycled material, mainly made from recycled carbon steel and stainless steel. The recycling of raw materials reduces energy consumption in the production process, reduces the generation and discharge of waste, is conducive to energy conservation and environmental protection, and meets the needs of the development of the times.

At present, the recycling rate of steel structure products dismantled in the UK is 94%, of which 10% are reused and 84% are recycled. Stainless steel can be recycled 100% indefinitely. When smelting stainless steel, there is no limit to the scrap rate. On average, 70% of the stainless steel produced today has been recycled. Compared to other common building materials, stainless steel can be recycled many times without loss of properties or performance.

Experiments show that the cleanliness of the colored 304 stainless steel plate is comparable to that of glass and ceramics, and the surface bacteria removal rate can reach about 98%. Stainless steel has no pollution to the human body and the environment. Stainless steel is a natural mineral smelting product, and no waste is produced after its service life. It is a green environmental protection material. So instead of consuming stainless steel, we are using stainless steel.
