In recent years, stainless steel color plates can be said to be a new star in the decoration industry. It is favored by customers because of its beautiful color, good corrosion resistance, and convenient processing. But you know what? If the color stainless steel plate is used improperly, corrosion will also occur, which is not necessarily a problem with the quality of the plate. Below is a small series to understand several situations in which stainless steel color plates will corrode.
The environment is one reason: if it is in a relatively humid coastal area, colored stainless steel sheets exposed outdoors are susceptible to chronic corrosion. Due to the evaporation of seawater, moist air and rainwater carry a large amount of salt covering the surface of the plate, which will lead to electrochemical corrosion. Since the environment is relatively fragile, the process is relatively slow and not easily detected. But once the time is long, the surface of the steel plate will be damaged. There are many reasons for choosing the material: the common colored stainless steel plate on the market is 201 or 304, due to the different nickel content, the corrosion resistance of 304 stainless steel plate is much higher than that of 201 stainless steel plate. Therefore, if you use it indoors, you can consider the cheaper 201 stainless steel plate, but you can use the 304 stainless steel plate outdoors.
There are also human reasons: some cleaning products may be used during the cleaning process. Today's detergents are more or less weakly acidic or weakly alkaline. Since these cleaners remain on the surface of the colored stainless steel plate, the surface of the colored stainless steel plate will be subject to long-term corrosion after long-term exposure to this environment. Therefore, in daily cleaning, just wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water. Try not to use strong cleaners that contain chemicals. If using detergent, be sure to remove any remaining detergent stains.
